The Healing NET Foundation (HNF) is pleased to offer Travel Grants for Nurses/Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to attend the North American Neuroendocrine Tumors Society (NANETS) Annual Symposium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 19-21, 2017.
The HNF NANETS Travel Grants are intended to encourage allied health care practitioners to learn more about the diagnosis, treatment, and research of neuroendocrine tumors from expert scientists, physicians, and allied health care professionals and to incorporate that knowledge into their own health care practices. The grant of up to $1500 is to pay for NANETS membership, the conference registration, travel (air/ground) and lodging.
WHO MAY APPLY: Any full-time practitioner in the United States who works with a minimum of twenty NET patients in a typical year may apply.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 31, 2017
The candidates who are awarded grants will be notified by August 18, 2017. HNF will award up to SIX Travel Grants. The grants cover NANETS symposium registration (including NANETS membership)--$295, three nights lodging at the NANETS hotel rate--~$700, and air and ground transportation reimbursement--~$500. Each grant is capped at $1500 maximum.
Grant recipients agree to complete a post-Symposium questionnaire and submit a written summary of their experience, including how they will use the acquired knowledge in their practice.
