The 2019 Healing NET Summit took place April 4-6 in Nashville, TN. This annual invitation-only conference focuses on the task of filling gaps in NET care. The format encourages debate, discussion, and collaboration among multi-disciplinary teams of NET expert physicians, nurses and nurse navigators, patient advocates, and the supporting industries. To address unmet needs in NET care, Summit faculty collaborated in breakout sessions on the following topics. Click a topic below to read more.

NET Boot Camp for Physicians and APPs

Because NETs are a rare disease, patients may have a hard time finding doctors who are well-versed in their diagnosis. We need more physicians who understand NETs.

Patient-Physician Communication

Because physicians are under time constraints and patients may be overwhelmed with new information, we need tools to be sure communication is effective and trust is built.

Nurse Education and Support

Because care of NET patients involves so many disciplines and varied diagnostic and treatment options, NET nurses need expertise in a complicated disease and in complex, cross-functional coordination to serve unique needs of NET patients.
